Install or repair heating, central air conditioning, HVAC, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot‑air furnaces, and heating stoves.
In Durham Tech's HVAC (Continuing Education) courses, students will work with equipment following safety standards and protocols, to develop skills required for entry‑level employment as a technician in the HVAC industry.
Students who wish to eventually become a facilities maintenance technician would complete the Industrial Systems Technology HVAC certificate and apply those credits to the Industrial Systems Technology Facilities Maintenance Technology AAS degree program.
