Role Electrician / Manufacturing
This position will perform all operations pertaining to the installation, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical equipment and circuitry. The electrician will install, repair and maintain electric motors, programmable drives, high voltage circuits, electrical control panels, programmable logic controllers, etc. Work involves a thorough knowledge of the electrical trade and an understanding of the plant operating principles to ensure that equipment functions properly and safely. Positions available include a 2nd and 3rd shift only.
Responsibilities / Qualifications Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
Install and maintain electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals and alarms.
Troubleshoot and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices and electrical measuring devices.
Fabricate and install metallic and non-metallic conduit, buss duct and wire raceways.
Design and build various control panels.
Draw schematics.
Lubricate electrical motors.
Use multimeters, meggers, amp probes, oscilloscope, signal generators and other electrical/electronic test equipment.
Update and maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Troubleshoot and repair various electronic controls and circuits; repair circuit boards and electronic components as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair programmable controllers, NC, CNC, radio controlled devices and DNC machine tools and equipment.
Contain and clean up hazardous materials.
Adapt new methods and procedures as required.
Assist other skilled classifications as needed.
Perform predictive maintenance checks.
Operate production and non-production equipment and machine tools as required.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections, repairs and adjustments; prepare predictive and preventive maintenance reports.
Instruct trainees when necessary.
Requisition replacement parts and materials; stock parts and materials needed for duties.
Participate in additional training related to the work.
Operate material handling equipment and man lifts as instructed in Plant Safety Rules and OSHA standards.
Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform Electrician “A” work as needed; perform all duties to a high standard of productivity and quality.
Required four years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Salary / Benefits Salary/Pay Range: The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. Individual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the role, experience, skills, and location. The range is one component of the total compensation package.
