Sales Executive, Outside Reports to Sales Supervisor

Position Overview This role is responsible for identifying and securing sales opportunities within the restaurant, hospitality, and nightlife sectors. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Sales Supervisor, the Sales Executive will prospect for new clients, conduct needs assessments, and match prospects with Payroc POS and payment solutions. The role involves traveling within an assigned territory to meet potential clients, perform in-person product demonstrations, and deliver tailored presentations to emphasize key product benefits. Accurate record-keeping is essential, requiring consistent data entry and customer information updates in Salesforce. Additionally, the Account Executive will maintain relationships with current clients, industry associations, and networking groups, and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing follow-up action items.

Compensation Package

1st Year Total Compensation Package realistic opportunity $85,000 - $100,000

2nd Year Total Compensation Package realistic opportunity $100,000 - $120,000

3rd Year Total Compensation Package realistic opportunity $120,000 - $160,000

Duties and Responsibilities

Works with Director of Sales and Sales Supervisor to prospect and canvass assigned sales territory for opportunities within the restaurant, hospitality, and bar & nightclub markets

Conducts surveys with prospective customers to identify needs and match those needs with Payroc POS products and payment services

Travels throughout assigned geographic territory to call on prospective customers to solicit orders. Talks with customers via phone to schedule appointments and completes in-person sales presentations and demos while emphasizing salable features and benefits

Prepares sales presentations, product demos, and presents proposals to prospects

Enters prospect and new customer data and other sales data for prospects and customers into Payroc POS's CRM database (Salesforce)

Maintains accurate customer contact information in Salesforce

Prepares and maintains accurate sales forecasts and reports

Submits complete and accurate order entry information to Sales Coordinator and operations team when orders are obtained

Develops and maintains relationships with networking groups, hospitality industry associations, and personal contacts

Regularly performs in person check-in meetings with existing Payroc clients throughout the territory

Follows through on sales & customer service/CSAT action items to completion.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Computer Proficiency - Possesses skills and experience with the Internet and standard MS applications, such as Word, Excel, etc. Knowledge of a sales CRM system like Goldmine, ACT, or Salesforce would be a plus

Business Acumen - Demonstrates knowledge of POS Systems, payment solutions, and general restaurant business. Must have some form of restaurant experience

Communication - Speaks and writes clearly and informatively; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Able to analytically read and interpret written information

Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance

Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree - Business/Communications/Hospitality Management

Previous Training or Certification in the food service industry or a related technology field strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of the San Diego County area restaurant & hospitality market

Rolodex/relationships with key restaurant operators and decision makers in the SD restaurant market

Working Conditions

Extensive desk‑based work involves prolonged periods using a computer and sitting for extended periods

Frequent interaction with team members, management, agents, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and collaborations

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds if needed.
