The Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is a key member of the Advance Solution business unit leadership team and is accountable for leading and executing the Kymera EHS strategy across the Advanced Solution sites. This role provides direction, leadership, and oversight of EHS programs to ensure alignment with Kymera International’s corporate standards, legal requirements, and cultural goals. The Director will drive a proactive, preventative safety culture while ensuring compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal regulations across the U.S. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to Advanced Solutions site leaders and will mentor site-level EHS professionals in building capability, consistency, and engagement in all areas of environmental and occupational health and safety. This role reports to the Advanced Solution VP of Operations with a dotted line to VP EHS.

Responsibilities Leadership & Program Oversight
Develop and execute EHS strategy within Advance Solutions entities in alignment with Corporate EHS strategy, operational goals, and ESG priorities.
Provide coaching and guidance to site EHS teams to drive accountability, engagement, and high-performance safety cultures.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics to monitor trends and drive continuous improvement within the Advanced Solutions business unit.
Ensure regulatory compliance across all Advanced Solutions sites, including U.S. OSHA, EPA, and other local authorities.
Partner with Legal and Corporate Risk to ensure appropriate risk mitigation, reporting, and response to incidents and audits.
Culture Building & Organizational Influence
Foster a strong "safety-first" culture.
Champion behavior-based safety, coaching techniques, and culture change initiatives across the Advanced Solution business unit.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice transfer across Advanced Solutions sites.
Compliance, Certification & Reporting
Ensure successful attainment and maintenance of ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications across applicable sites.
Oversee all incident investigations and corrective action implementation; ensure root cause analysis tools are consistently used.
Maintain and ensure data integrity across systems (e.g., OSHA logs, incident management tools, training records).
Develop and maintain environmental programs, including air permitting, stormwater, waste management, hazardous materials, chemical exposure monitoring, and sustainability reporting.
People Development & Resource Management
Mentor Advanced Solutions site-level EHS professionals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build and maintain strong relationships with Plant Managers, HR Business Partners, Engineering, and Operations leadership.
Intermittent domestic travel 10-25%.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of EHS management experience.
Minimum five (5) years of functional manager experience.
Minimum seven (7) years of industrial experience.
Skills And Competencies
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective communication across all levels of facility management and personnel.
Leadership through influence and example.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and use visual and auditory abilities sufficient to conduct inspections, observe work practices, and respond to alarms or unsafe conditions.
Navigation throughout all areas of the facility with the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to wear and operate required protective equipment and devices.
Frequent walking through production, warehouse, laboratory, or construction areas to conduct inspections and audits.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as needed for site evaluations.
