Systems Specialist Responsibilities
Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
Plan work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
Assist with data back‑up from data servers, create automated back‑up procedures, troubleshoot and resolve inconsistencies in functions or sequence of operations, and set up/configure PC workstations and user interfaces.
Confirm proper network performance.
Run routine reports to review system operation; participate in final inspection and testing; support customer acceptance and training on system operations.
Complete and submit routine written reports; provide plans and control system documents for as‑built drawings.
Support project site communication and coordination, including scheduling trade contractors to coordinate startup services; submit accurate time and expense reports.
Work overtime when needed (compressed schedule performance may require extended hours to meet commitments).
Work rotational on‑call and/or minimal overnight travel.
Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
Electro‑mechanical experience (via previous role or education) and PC/software skills.
On‑the‑job experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
Ability and willingness to work in various circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, high‑lift equipment, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions.
Ability and willingness to use hand tools, laptops, email, smartphones, and tablets, and to carry and move equipment/tools up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field.
