Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited A Dallas-based surgical hospital is recruiting a FULL TIME RADIOLOGY/X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST! This position is an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to join a top-notch, surgically-focused hospital that performs over 11,000 procedures a year. This Radiology Technologist shall demonstrate first class customer service. Job duties: Perform the job duties within the Imaging department such as routine X-rays within the Siemens Luminos Agile Max, Digital room, portable (using the Siemens Elara Max, digital equipment) and also set up sterile trays for the procedural exams for myelography, arthrography, steroid injection and the occasional aspiration exam. Rotate into the X-ray On-call calendar 4 – 5 times a month. As needed, rotate into the Operating Room (OR) and run a small (Hologic) or large C-arm (OEC 9900). Computed Tomography (CT), If the applicant is not certified by the ARRT in CT, we will cross train over the first 2 years of being on site. The equipment is a 64 slice, GE EVO Revolution. Eventually, the applicant will be asked to share the CT On-call calendar as well. If you are not comfortable with IV start, we will train you to do this skill set. Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Labeling film appropriately per image. Record the amount of fluoroscopic radiation utilized in the Electronic Medical Record. Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality. Maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition. Required Skills

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. Minimum 2 years of prior experience ARRT Registered and BLS, current Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations. Must possess independent decision making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families. Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
