About The Role We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the Product Configuration Workstream as part of GEICO’s modernization of its policy and underwriting platforms. This workstream is central to enabling GEICO’s next‑generation policy management platform to be configurable, scalable, and testable—empowering business teams to define, validate, and deploy configuration changes with confidence and speed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance product configuration, business rules management, and functional validation frameworks, with an ability to balance strategic simplification and hands‑on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a cross‑functional team of business and configuration experts responsible for defining and validating product configurations across multiple insurance lines.

Drive the creation of a product definition framework that allows for easy modification, testing, and deployment of rules that define the policy behaviour including policy transactions, state transitions, external system interactions and orchestration across systems.

Ensure the configuration platform supports multi‑line extensibility and state‑specific variation while maintaining consistency and compliance with GEICO and regulatory guidelines.

Partner with Engineering and QA to establish automated validation, regression, and baseline comparison capabilities to ensure every change can be confidently validated before deployment.

Collaborate with underwriting, policy, and service product teams to identify configuration dependencies and ensure smooth end‑to‑end transaction processing.

Define KPIs and metrics for product configuration health, speed of change, and quality assurance; continuously improve processes to accelerate business agility.

Serve as the primary liaison between business users and platform engineering for configuration governance and design decisions for the assigned transactions/functional area.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Configuration, or Insurance Platform Design.

Proven experience working with policy administration systems or similar insurance technology (Duck Creek, Guidewire, Majesco, etc.).

Understanding of rating, rules, and form configuration and how they impact policy and underwriting transactions.

Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple configuration workstreams in parallel.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.

Preferred Experience

Hands‑on experience with policy management or insurance platforms, such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, or in‑house policy systems.

Experience in Property & Casualty insurance (Auto, Homeowners, Renters, Umbrella, etc.).

Prior exposure to state regulatory variation management and compliance validation processes.

Familiarity with test automation frameworks for validating configuration changes.

Experience leading teams of business analysts, configuration specialists, or system testers in a platform or product environment.

Experience with AI‑assisted rule configuration or automated test generation is a plus.

Annual Salary $100,450.00 - $157,850.00
