This is a full-time, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role based in Atlanta, GA or remote (continental U.S.). As Punctilio’s financial backbone, you will build and run the finance function for a scaling professional‑services platform. You will own accounting, FP&A, cash and working‑capital management, lender and investor relations, and all transaction‑ and integration‑related finance to support a disciplined buy‑and‑build strategy. You will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations end‑to‑end—developing planning frameworks, preparing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing reporting, and providing strategic insights to guide decisions. You will manage budgets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure capital is allocated effectively across organic and M&A initiatives. You will also lead and develop the finance team, establishing the systems, controls, and operating cadence needed to support growth and long‑term stability. Qualifications
10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership , ideally within multi‑entity or multi‑location professional‑services environments. Hands‑on technical excellence
across GAAP close, consolidations, revenue recognition, budgeting, and FP&A. Proven M&A experience
including diligence, modeling, financing processes, and post‑close integration for acquisitions or roll‑ins. Strategic finance capability : able to build financial strategies, planning frameworks, cash and working‑capital models, and capital‑allocation discipline. Strong analytical and decision‑making skills , with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations for operators and leadership. Leadership experience
building and managing finance teams, systems, and controls in a scaling environment. Industry familiarity
with legal or other professional‑services models is a plus. Education:
Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred. AI‑ready:
Already proficient with AI tools—or willing to become so. Comfortable adopting LLM‑driven workflows in daily work, applying judgment, and following privacy and security guidelines.
