We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead Growth for Gusto Pro, our product specifically built for Accountants. Accountants are one of our largest user groups and act as a growth engine by referring small business clients to Gusto as their payroll provider. We have ambitious plans to become the most efficient platform for accountants to deliver payroll & advisory services and help millions of small businesses. If you enjoy uncovering and solving big customer problems, driving experimentation, and identifying new ways to propel a referral‑driven business model, we’d love to hear from you. Here’s What You’ll Do Day‑to‑Day

Own product discovery to uncover and deeply understand customer problems and test risky assumptions. Create a long‑term vision and strategy that defines the big problems we can solve well with durable competitive advantage. Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Revenue teams to co‑create hypotheses and support a sales‑driven growth engine. Run A/B tests and lean experiments to prove hypotheses quickly and improve signal on new ideas. Execute and iterate rapidly with an emphasis on user delight, impact, and learning; take calculated risks and tradeoffs. Define, measure, and improve key product and business metrics. Here’s What We’re Looking For

8+ years of hands‑on Product Management experience. Proven track record of leading growth teams and running clean A/B tests that deliver impactful results. Strong product discovery and analytics skills. Ability to tell a compelling story that drives alignment and inspires action. Strong collaboration skills; ability to quickly build trust with Revenue and Product teams. A passion for helping small and medium‑size businesses. Natural curiosity, grit, customer obsession, and humility. A strong POV on building products in the age of AI; experience building AI‑driven features is a big bonus. Compensation

is $179,000/yr to $224,000/yr in Denver & most major metro locations, and $210,000/yr to $263,000/yr for San Francisco, Seattle & New York. Final offers consider location, experience, and expertise. Where do PMs at Gusto work?

We have offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York and encourage hybrid work from all U.S. and Canada locations. Remote work is supported for eligible roles.
