Sr. Audiologist

in a part‑time, day‑shift capacity. Glendale is home to a 515‑bed hospital, urgent‑care centers, home‑care services, comprehensive cardiology care and a wide spectrum of services in the San Fernando Valley. Job Summary Conduct tests for the description and diagnosis of auditory pathology in neonatal, pediatric and geriatric patients. Implement programs of rehabilitation for the hearing‑handicapped, and consult in the diagnostic and rehabilitation services for individuals with speech and language disorders. Communicate and collaborate with physicians, hearing aid dispensers, community resources, patients and families to develop and implement appropriate plans of care. Provide clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical, organizational and critical‑thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care and create treatment programs in accordance with identified needs.

Evaluate patient response to interventions and modify treatment plans appropriately.

Conduct hearing aid selection and provide hearing aid user orientation and auditory training.

Document care in a timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures for regulatory and payer compliance.

Provide supervision to hearing technicians, students and volunteers, and participate in orientation and training.

Perform consultations, evaluations and assessments; identify problem areas and abnormal findings.

Administer appropriate diagnostic hearing tests, including audiological evaluations, impedance testing, site‑of‑lesion testing, electronystagmography testing and auditory brain‑stem evoked response testing; record results appropriately.

Maintain audiology equipment and supplies, coordinate calibration and servicing, and clean equipment according to infection‑control recommendations.

Assist in the maintenance of audiology equipment and supplies and coordinate calibration and servicing of the audiology equipment as needed.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in audiology, speech‑language pathology or equivalent. (Some certifications will require Bachelor’s).

Master’s Degree preferred.

Three years’ audiologist experience preferred.

Licenses / Certifications

Audiology licensure in the state of practice required.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology preferred.

Audiology (AUD) or State Audiology (SAUD) required.

Essential Functions
