Advanced Practice Provider / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Signet Health manages the Behavioral Health Services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center and has a full‑time opening for an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN), NP with Acute Care Experience. Competitive compensation includes a $30,000 Retention Bonus.
Essential Functions
Perform H&P’s on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units and follow through on other medical illnesses.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning as needed.
Participate in agency‑wide training programs and in‑services.
Provide quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements.
Perform rotations throughout Washington Hospital Center.
Qualifications
Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree as an Advanced Practice Provider program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Eligible for Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Effective problem‑solving skills and excellent oral/written communication skills.
Flexibility adjusting to the needs of a fast‑paced environment.
