The City of Camarillo is seeking a Director of Community Development who will serve in a prominent external, public‑facing role engaging the entire community, encouraging sound planning, promoting economic development, fostering community connections and guiding development/land‑use matters. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record for leading through change and fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture. Typical background and experience includes a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in urban or regional planning, public administration, business administration, or a related field; and 10 years of experience in urban planning, community development, or related experience including 3 years of management and administrative responsibility.
The City offers a competitive salary of $178,235 – $267,380 based on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive health and retirement benefits package.
