Health and Safety Manager Our client is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our Chicago team and lead the implementation of industrial safety programs across Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operations in North America. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, Canadian MOL, and ISO 45001 standards while fostering a proactive safety culture in both construction and operational environments.

Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies aligned with industry standards.

Lead and participate in working-at-heights and confined space rescue drills to ensure operational safety.

Draft safety policies, procedures, and forms to ensure regulatory compliance and ease of use.

Deliver safety training programs such as OSHA 10-Hour, LOTO, confined space rescue, and electrical safety; travel to sites for instruction.

Investigate incidents and near misses, perform Root Cause Analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Represent Company with external organizations and regulatory bodies.

Review reports and regulatory data to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Conduct audits of North American sites to verify compliance with internal and external safety regulations.

Required Skills and Competencies

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in a safety role, including 2+ years in high-voltage environments.

OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including training and report presentation.

Physically capable of working in challenging outdoor environments and at heights up to 120 meters (fit-to-climb medical exam required).

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.

Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Willingness to travel 25-50%, including occasional emergency response travel.

Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian HSE regulations; experience in wind turbine construction or O&M preferred.
