Akkodis is seeking a
Senior Application Developer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Westlake Village, CA . You will develop and maintain enterprise applications and web services using Java and Drools, while managing deployments in AWS environments.
Rate Range:
$49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Application Developer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and web services using Java, Drools/Red Hat BRMS, and JBoss.
Prepare and deploy software to production environments, ensuring stability and performance.
Leverage BDD/TDD practices including JUnit for testing and quality assurance throughout development.
Manage small projects independently and contribute to larger initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues logged by users in live systems, serving as an escalation point.
Utilize AWS for cloud-based development and deployment, ensuring secure and scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
10+ years in Java development and enterprise application design.
Strong expertise in Drools/Red Hat BRMS and rules engine implementation for complex business logic.
Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud development and deployment, including Linux environments and automation tools.

Pay Details:
$49.00 to $53.00 per hour
