Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. You will design and deploy distributed applications at scale in cloud environments while ensuring fault tolerance and high availability.
Rate Range:
$68/hour to $71/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and deploy distributed applications at scale in public and private cloud environments ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Build integrations and applications using programming languages such as Go, Python, and Java to support large-scale environments.
Develop and maintain observability platforms and tooling systems like Splunk, Prometheus, GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory to improve performance and stability.
Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to define service level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs) and drive critical initiatives for operational excellence.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and stability issues, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies to ensure optimal system reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
4–5+ years of production-level experience building distributed applications at scale in cloud environments.
Strong programming expertise in Go, Python, and Java, with experience developing integrations and applications for large-scale systems.
Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and building observability platforms using tools like Splunk and Prometheus.

Pay Details:
$68.00 to $71.00 per hour
