Position Overview GliaCell is seeking a Mid‑Level Systems Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems for a large government contract.
Description
The Data Modeling team is focused on modernizing business IT systems that currently span multiple databases, user interfaces, and data formats.
This role is key to the successful migration of business data from legacy systems to a new platform.
Key Requirements
U.S. Citizenship
Seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Works well independently as well as on a team.
Strong communication skills.
Key Skills
Experience with database design and modeling.
Experience utilizing SQL within relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres).
Experience reverse engineering systems in both front‑end and back‑end capacities.
Experience with data analysis and visualization, data normalization and cleansing, and data security.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of existing BM&A systems.
Location Columbia, MD
Salary Range The salary range for this full‑time position is $120,000 to $160,000, based on position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education, and certifications.
