Job Description GliaCell is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems for a large government contract.
Key Responsibilities
Join an exciting mission centered around providing visualization and presentation services for the prototyping, development, and production of analytic tools.
Reverse engineer 40 databases to create a universal model database so that data can be sorted, found, and analyzed efficiently.
Work on a small team to provide impactful contributions to a supportive customer.
Serve as a key contributor to the successful migration of business data from legacy systems to a new platform.
Key Requirements
U.S. Citizenship.
20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university (5 years of additional SE experience on similar projects may substitute for a bachelor’s degree).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Key Skills
Experience with database design and modeling.
Experience utilizing SQL within relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres).
Experience reverse‑engineering systems in both front‑end and back‑end capacities.
Experience with data analysis and visualization, data normalization and cleansing, and data security.
Desired Skills
Experience with Oracle.
Knowledge of existing B/M&A systems.
Location Columbia, MD
Salary Range The salary range for this full‑time position is $210,000 to $240,000.
