Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist
The Congenital Heart Collaborative (TCHC) is a pioneering partnership between the heart centers at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (Cleveland) and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus). Position Overview The successful candidate will join an outstanding team of board‑certified pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who model collaboration, teamwork, and dedication to their patients and partners. At UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, you will represent and further the division’s impact locally, nationally, and internationally. The Heart Center includes ten pediatric cardiologists—interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, fetal cardiology, adult‑congenital heart disease, general cardiology—and congenital cardiovascular surgeons. Cardiac surgeries of all complexities are performed on campus, as are fetal cardiac interventions and complex pediatric electrophysiology and catheterization procedures in state‑of‑the‑art suites. The fetal program performs over 1,000 fetal echocardiograms annually and operates a successful fetal intervention program in conjunction with maternal‑fetal medicine and TCHC colleagues.
With advanced imaging capabilities—including transthoracic, transesophageal, fetal, and 3‑D echocardiography; cardiac MRI and CTA; cardiac stress MRI; fetal cardiac MRI; and 3‑D modeling/printing—you will join an innovative and comprehensive program well regarded for clinical excellence and education.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide all aspects of electrophysiology services, including electrophysiology studies, RF ablation and cryoablation, and device implantation.
Participate in specialized device services/clinics, channelopathy, sudden death, and autonomic dysfunction clinics.
Care for those with arrhythmias starting in fetal life through adulthood.
Engage in research, quality improvement, administrative development, leadership, education, and support for academic pursuits.
Achieve academic rank and appointment with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, determined by credentials and experience as reviewed by the Committee on Appointments, Promotion, and Tenure.
Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology. Additional fellowship training, board certification, and other professional interests are welcomed.
Advanced training in performing and interpreting invasive and noninvasive electrophysiology procedures, or equivalent experience.
