About the Job As Floor Supervisor, you will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in maintaining smooth and efficient floor operations. Your job will consist of having your hand in all aspects of store operations, from stocking produce and grocery shelves to barista/deli support, to cheese production, to cashiering, to team leadership. We encourage a team mentality at Luke’s and as such, all staff often assist each other based on the demands of the day. Having a positive attitude, a team mentality and an eagerness to learn is a must.

Store Leadership
Work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to lead the store team as a strong, cohesive leadership group
Respond to challenging situations positively and professionally, always with a solution-oriented mindset
Demonstrate consistent work attendance
Communicate and collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, and/or outside contacts in a timely and appropriate manner
Complete goals on time, meeting established deadlines
Maintain regular presence on the floor to ensure all store departments are supported when needed, including:
Oversee excellent customer service
Distribute work evenly among all staff
Train staff in coordination with Shift Leadership and under the direction of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
Maintaining a positive environment for all staff, ensuring all staff are always treated fairly
Oversee accurate tracking and reporting of waste
Perform EOD cash count as needed
Participate in mandatory quarterly store-wide inventory counts
Maintenance
Facilitate communication from floor teams to Store Leadership about any supplies and equipment needs, as well as any necessary repairs or other maintenance work
Keeping a clean and consolidated walk-in and pantry
Ensure everything is labeled correctly for customers as well as to stay within health code regulations
Ensure food safety standards are being met at all times
Audit cleaning service to ensure scope is being covered

Supervisory responsibilities
Manage and oversee the professional development of Cashiers and Cashier Shift Leads
Work with Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager to supervise and oversee the professional development of all floor staff
Work environment
Office and sales floor of retail grocery stores
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to spend 6-8 hours per day on your feet
oping, bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time, stretching, twisting, reaching, repetitive stocking motions, repetitive food prep motions.
Stocking of shelves and merchandising displays, sometimes from a ladder
Handling of refrigerated product in a cold environment for extended periods of time
Required education and experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
Preferred education and experience
Experience with retail, preferably grocery
Experience with food preparation, service, and safety

Must be 18 years or older
Proficiency in English
