Overview
The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy within the LSU Health Sciences Center is a large Basic Science department with a strong commitment to both academics and research. The department employs approximately 40 faculty, unclassified, classified, graduate students and other support staff. The incumbent in this position will work under minimal supervision by a senior faculty member on various research projects utilizing techniques and skills according to the project’s protocol.
Responsibilities
Histochemical analysis of neural tissue
Biochemical measurements of hormone levels
Weigh and anesthetize small laboratory rodents
Maintain records relative to physical condition
Dissect, collect and prepare tissue samples for experiments
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's
Discipline(s): Neuros Biology or related field of study
Experience: Entry level commensurate with field of study
