Responsibilities Clinical
Assess and screen potential individuals for FACT services.
Direct and coordinate the admission process and the treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program in coordination with the psychiatrist.
Assign 3‑5 staff for each Individual Treatment Team (ITT) and a primary case manager.
Direct and coordinate the completion of the initial and comprehensive assessments and oversee the development of the individual’s recovery plan.
Provide clinical supervision of the development of the initial and comprehensive recovery plans and lead recovery planning meetings.
Direct and coordinate the FACT team’s services in coordination with the FACT Psychiatrist.
Provide direct clinical treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to persons served by the program.
Coordinate daily organizational meetings to ensure the team’s work of the day is scheduled and participants’ identified needs are met.
Function as a practicing clinician on the team.
Participate in providing 24‑hour on‑call coverage for the FACT program.
Provide clinical supervision to all FACT staff and provide clinical backup, crisis intervention, and consultation after regular business hours.
Provide and ensure staff is trained in and carries out evidenced‑based best practices (e.g., motivational interviewing, trauma‑informed care, WRAP).
Monitor for trauma, abuse, and neglect and use appropriate reporting mechanisms.
Review documentation to ensure timely and appropriate treatment that meets state requirements and MHRC medical records standards.
Administrative
Compile and submit monthly and quarterly program reports and other reports as required or assigned.
Monitor the disbursement and tracking of enhancement dollars.
Coordinate and monitor the documentation and delivery of FACT services; evaluate program effectiveness and work with the Director and Associate Director to recommend corrective action plans when problems are identified.
Monitor and evaluate program records in achieving goals for outcomes, direct service, the State contract, etc., and work with the Director and Associate Director to recommend corrective action plans when problems are identified.
Ensure staff work hours are scheduled to provide adequate coverage for day, evening, weekend, holiday shifts and on‑call hours.
Monitor the delivery of psychiatric services.
Assist in developing and monitoring the FACT budget.
Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
Monitor the collection of data to evaluate program effectiveness and other quality improvement activities.
Supervise medical records management, ensuring medical records comply with MHRC policies and procedures and contractual and licensing requirements.
Ensure program compliance with the PACT Model and State contract.
Staff Monitoring
Conduct regular program staff meetings, as well as individual supervision of each staff member.
Facilitate peer reviews.
Identify needs for staff training, make recommendations for in‑service training, provide documentation for all training for employee files, and make recommendations for staff to attend educational sessions.
Facilitate recruitment, hiring, orientation, retention, evaluation, and employee relations in coordination with the Director of FACT Programs and the Human Resource Department.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, or a human services related field.
Three years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder).
One year of supervisory experience.
Valid Florida license as LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW.
Experience with DBT therapy techniques preferred.
Must meet MHRC/RBHS vehicle driver requirements, including a valid Florida Driver’s License, automobile insurance coverage equal to or exceeding 50,000/100,000/50,000 split limits, and no more than eight points on the license for any combination of violations.
Ability to interact independently with persons who have a serious and persistent mental illness in their home environment, a closed office, hospital, nursing home, and/or locked unit.
Ability to make sound decisions independently on a daily basis, including recognizing emergencies and life‑threatening situations and responding appropriately.
Strong communication skills essential; must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external customers, including families, caregivers, community service providers, supervisory staff, and other department professionals.
