About the Role
As a member of the Glacier Solutions Development ("GSD") team, the Quality Assurance Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The primary focus of this position is to test and perform quality assurance (QA) validation on business process solutions for assigned application(s) throughout the development lifecycle. This role will be responsible for testing supporting workflow-driven system processes provided by the bank, such as Lending, Teller, New Accounts, Compliance, Fraud, and Core Banking interface solutions. The QA Specialist will keep all relevant technical documentation up to date as assigned. They will participate in testing for new systems, releases, new features, enhancements, and break/fix solutions. In cross‑functional teams the position provides QA and testing support of new or current production systems and follows industry standard waterfall and agile development/project delivery lifecycles. Keen attention to detail, passion for quality, accurate documentation, and embracing repeatable processes are key to this position. Adherence to structured software change and release management processes and procedures is required. This is a corporate position that may be located in an available bank division across our nine‑state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY. The entry rate for this position is $33.31 /hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT). WA applicants only: Spokane, WA range $37.21 to $55.81 an hour; Wenatchee, WA range $37.72 to $56.59 an hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
Executes quality assurance testing scripts, test plans, and defect management for software products and releases that impact the organization’s business services and operations as assigned.
Creates, maintains, and provides all necessary documentation on testing validation, bugs and quality assurance reviews.
Executes effective and efficient testing scenarios and uses testing tools or works with third parties as needed.
Upholds all Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in policy, procedures, and standards.
Analyzes and occasionally collects the business and functional requirements from all levels of the organization, then translates that knowledge into accurate and inclusive testing cases.
Provides judgment, advice, recommendations, and best practices on systems to help senior management make informed decisions that impact peers and employees at all levels.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by the due date.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in technology or equivalent banking industry experience.
Required: 3‑5 years of hands‑on quality assurance software testing experience or equivalent bank lending or operations experience.
Knowledge
Microsoft Windows operating system experience and Office applications.
Ability to coordinate with groups of business users who will test, validate, and evaluate new applications and functions to determine issues in services and software provided.
Ability to execute on assigned testing scenarios, conduct quality assurance reviews, and coordinate user acceptance testing.
Respond with rapid testing validation in situations of system failure resolution development.
Preferred: Testing or quality assurance experience with nCino, Temenos, LMS, Salesforce, or other banking‑specific software and prior banking experience. Manual and automated testing experience. Basic programming knowledge or understanding.

Additional Requirements Travel
– Occasional travel required (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver or passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation. Ability to lodge in public facilities.
Working Conditions
– Environment: Indoors, climate‑controlled shared work area. Noise Level: Moderate. Lifting: Sedentary work with occasional handling of objects up to 10 pounds. Vision: Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, and read printed materials.
