Business Development Manager – Service Contracts
EMCOR Services Aircond, a leading HVAC service company with over 87 years of experience, is seeking a Business Development Manager to sell maintenance service agreements to new customer prospects. The role requires work independently and as part of a dynamic team, utilizing consultative selling techniques to secure contracts across commercial and industrial sites.
Location:
Birmingham, AL – travel throughout the region required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Sell maintenance service agreements to new customer prospects.
Prospect for new clients through effective networking, cold calling, and other outreach methods; identify key decision makers within target organizations and sell customized maintenance solutions.
Cold call within your assigned market, territory, or niche, aggressively seeking out new business opportunities.
Schedule face‑to‑face meetings with key decision makers in target organizations to build rapport.
Assess prospective client needs, prepare and present solutions designed to address those needs.
Perform equipment surveys and pricing estimates using approved company software; collaborate with the Sales Manager/General Manager to prepare and present client proposals, presentations, and quotes.
Forecast sales targets and work to achieve sales goals, maintaining a constant funnel of sales activity and potential opportunities.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, or distribution channels that may lead to sales opportunities.
Actively participate in pricing the solution and/or service.
Attend industry functions sponsored by professional associations such as BOMA, IFMA, or the Chamber of Commerce, and regularly attend meetings, events, conferences, and symposiums.
Submit weekly sales activity reports to Sales Manager and/or General Manager, ensuring all sales data is entered into the company’s CRM system.
Meet and/or achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Qualifications
Proven consultative and strategic selling skills.
Strong negotiation abilities.
Comfortable with networking and presenting.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with cold calling prospective clients.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong adaptability skills.
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suites.
Required Experience, Certifications, And Education
Minimum of three years of experience with self‑generated direct sales.
Experience in the HVAC industry preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
