Responsibilities
Oversees maintenance program(s) for all E&T projects and tasks.
Facilitates vendors and/or subcontractors who repair and maintain facilities, systems and equipment and care for grounds and support equipment under the direction of the operations manager.
Ensures optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical/HVAC and fire/life safety.
Oversees contractors for facilities renovation projects involving HVAC, electrical and production floor arrangements; sets priorities for projects and work orders.
Implements the Maintenance Program at AtkinsRéalis sites/facilities/projects using best industry practices and participates in the development of goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Plans, organizes and monitors maintenance operations and reviews work carried out by maintenance staff (skilled tradesmen, helpers and laborers); performs maintenance work as required.
Establishes schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identifies and allocates resource needs.
Provides technical assistance to the operations manager as requested.
Investigates equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns and provides corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Monitors parts requests to ensure adequate inventory and cost efficiencies are met within the departmental budget.
Ensures equipment and processes are running optimally; develops and organizes preventive maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities, systems and equipment.
Inspects buildings to identify maintenance issues such as clogged drains, leaky ceilings and faulty electrical switches; responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment and related systems.
Coordinates construction projects, remodels and other special projects; determines material, equipment and supplies to be used.
Monitors and controls supplies and equipment; orders supplies and tools as necessary.
Transfers equipment and staff from one project to another as necessary; maintains inventory such as cleaning supplies, tools and office supplies.
Estimates costs, staffing, material and equipment requirements for maintenance work; assists in the preparation of various contracts, requests for proposal and reports.
Creates periodic reports such as preventative maintenance schedules; keeps timecards and other routine records.
Establishes and monitors work goals and objectives; follows organizational policies and procedures and ensures staff compliance.
Performs such other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Associate's degree in a related technical field or a minimum of 4 years field experience (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience with repairs, maintenance, startup and testing of facility processes and/or systems.
Minimum of 3 years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead, supervisory or managerial position.
Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge and experience with state and/or federal regulations/regulators.
Valid driver's license with a clean record required.
Evidence of insurability required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and coaching skills.
Detailed knowledge of operations, services, practices, procedures and activities associated with site/facility/systems/grounds maintenance, repair and construction.
Detailed knowledge of the materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in maintenance, repair and construction activities.
Detailed knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of tasks.
Ability to read and understand existing and planned facility drawings, plans, schematics and specifications.
Ability to develop and communicate work steps required to maintain and test existing and planned equipment and control systems.
Ability to manage and/or monitor multiple projects and activities occurring simultaneously.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, database applications and spreadsheets.
Ability to work with employees at all organizational levels.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and environments with exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, chemicals and mechanical and electrical hazards.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work occasionally at elevated heights.
CMMS preferred; HMI/PLC controls preferred.

Additional Information Expected compensation range is between $88,000–$147,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
