General Description (Purpose and Function):The Division of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami, Leonard Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon to join our plastic surgery team.

We have a strong multidisciplinary group that works to provide high quality clinical care and access to cutting edge clinical trials.

The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only NCI-designated cancer center in South Florida and is focused on innovation in cancer care.

The candidate will work closely with the Director of Breast Surgical Oncology and other members of the breast surgery team to develop a strong breast reconstruction surgery clinical practice.Primary Duties and Responsibilities (For-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):Job responsibilities include participation in clinical and educational activities as they relate to the Division of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery and the Department of Surgery with a special emphasis on breast reconstruction: Oversees outcomes, quality, and patient experience for the program Work with hospital personnel to obtain all mutually agreed upon program designations of distinction**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatments Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette

duties Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an interest in clinical research.
