Job Description
Deep understanding of ITAM best practices and processes.
Experience in ITAM solution implementation for endpoints, servers, networking devices discovery, software and licensing management, license reconciliation, and vulnerability management.
Experience automating asset discovery, identifying system relationships, and working on application and service modeling.
Design, implement, and optimize IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, including asset lifecycle management from procurement to retirement.
Hands-on experience with ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, BMC, Flexera, Solarwinds, or Snow License Manager.
Experience integrating ITMC, ITAM with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other service management solutions.
Knowledge of ServiceNow, BMC, Salesforce, Ivanti ITSM, and CMDB solutions is a plus.
Understanding of CMDB and the relationship between IT services and infrastructure.
Maintain and update the CMDB with accurate Configuration Item (CI) data, mapping relationships between CIs to support incident and change management.
Develop and maintain CMDB reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor health, accuracy, and completeness.
Experience with enterprise software and familiarity with cloud computing systems.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
Good understanding of cloud technologies, networking, applications, and business concepts.
Demonstrate leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Manage IT asset portfolio considering risk, cost, governance, compliance, and performance.
Knowledge or experience with Salesforce platform and workflow development is beneficial.
Experience extracting, transforming asset data via ETL tools and APIs for consolidation.
Experience with Salesforce and ServiceNow asset management applications is advantageous.
Ensure configuration of ITSM and ITAM modules aligns with ITIL best practices.
Configure, administer, and customize ITAM solutions to meet business and technical needs.
Oversee third-party tools and integrations for seamless data flow between ITAM and other applications.
Manage the IT asset lifecycle from allocation to disposal.
Conduct periodic health checks to assess data quality and compliance.
Strong troubleshooting skills for ITAM solutions.
Collaborate with service owners and internal teams to drive continuous improvement.
Operate effectively in a dynamic environment to support customer issues and enhancements.
Maintain organization and positive communication with customers, vendors, and partners.
Lead initiatives to improve ITAM processes and effectiveness.
Understand software and hardware licensing concepts.
Build workflows to automate software provisioning.
Normalize discovery data and manage asset foundation data for service management.
Align CMDB and asset management with organizational goals and ITIL practices.
Optimize software license allocation and reduce costs.
Identify and mitigate security risks related to IT assets and ensure compliance.
Work with other IT service managers to integrate ITAM data with CMDB.
Understand ETL tools for normalizing inventory data from various discovery tools.
Experience as a vulnerability manager for software vulnerabilities detection, identification, and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
