The DevOps Engineer will support containerized application deployments, manage software installations in a Linux-based environment, configure data sharing tools, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure system operations. The role emphasizes OpenShift, Apache Kafka, and SQL database experience within a government or enterprise IT setting. Job Responsibilities: Work with subject matter experts to deploy applications in containers and resolve related issues Install, configure, and maintain software in Red Hat OpenShift and Linux environments Support data sharing tool setup and analyze existing APIs and integration methods Apply security patches and updates to software tools Collaborate with vendors for software configuration and troubleshooting Coordinate with DTMB server teams for tasks in virtual and containerized environments Troubleshoot networking issues including DNS, firewalls, and certificates Assist agency users with software operations and account provisioning Create documentation including System Security Plans, installation plans, and architecture assessments Recommend improvements in tools, technologies, and implementation practices Assist team members and vendors with technical tasks as required Required Skills: 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes for container management 3+ years of experience installing and supporting Apache Kafka 4+ years of experience with open-source SQL databases such as Presto DB or PostgreSQL Experience in database troubleshooting, backups, and writing basic queries 2+ years of experience with web-based applications, consuming APIs, and scripting for data validation Preferred Skills: Familiarity with shell scripting and crontab scheduling #J-18808-Ljbffr
