CohesionForce is actively seeking candidates for a Software Developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in modeling, simulation, and analysis of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Responsibilities include software development, testing, debugging, and supporting agile development processes. The candidate should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a multidisciplinary team environment. Key responsibilities include facilitating program planning, maintaining metrics, managing risks, and supporting agile ceremonies. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or technology with 5+ years of experience, or a Masters degree with less than 3 years, or a PhD with no experience. Understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and BMDS. Experience with at least three of the following: C++, Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, SQL, XML, HTML. Experience with full lifecycle agile development. Familiarity with IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ, NetBeans, Visual Studio. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design & Development. Proficiency with Linux/Unix commands. Active Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework and SAFe certifications. Experience with RCP, EMF, ECF, DIS protocols, and engineering tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Git, Confluence. Development of Human Machine Interfaces and experience with DDS OpenSplice. Knowledge of DevOps, CI, Redhat Linux, and configuration management tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
