Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead a greenfield project involving the design and development of new enterprise systems. This role requires strong backend engineering capabilities, architecture design expertise, and leadership in driving projects to completion. You will guide a team of developers while actively contributing to system architecture, integration, and overall project execution. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end design and architecture of backend systems, focusing on microservices and API development. Drive enterprise-level design workflows and data modeling efforts. Guide project progress through program management tasks including JIRA and scrum coordination. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure full coverage and quality assurance. Create and maintain SOAP and RESTful API integrations. Utilize Kafka for event-driven architecture and manage NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB. Lead data mapping and modeling tasks to support system integration and functionality. Coordinate a team of 4–5 developers, setting direction and ensuring project timelines are met. Required Qualifications:

10+ years of backend software engineering experience. Proven experience in enterprise system design and architecture. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch. Hands-on experience with Kafka and NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB). Solid understanding of Kubernetes and containerized deployment. Demonstrated ability to lead software projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the insurance domain is a strong plus.
