Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant with 2-5 years of legal experience, including mandatory experience with PACER/ECF electronic filing in federal courts. This role requires someone who can manage a high volume of filings including filings under seal and who is comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

Although the position is generally remote, candidates must be local to the Twin Cities metro area for occasional in-person meetings or office needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and organize legal documents for federal courts, ensuring full compliance with all filing requirements.
  • Manage electronic filing procedures via PACER/ECF across federal courts nationwide, including filings under seal.
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including document review, citation checks, and maintaining accurate case files.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal court rules and deadlines.
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and court staff.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality, especially regarding sensitive case materials.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior legal staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of legal administrative experience within a law firm or legal department.
  • Mandatory PACER/ECF filing experience in federal courts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume caseloads.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organization, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Legal Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with case management systems such as NetDocuments and e-discovery platforms such as Everlaw.
  • Prior experience supporting multiple attorneys and paralegals simultaneously.
