Heavy Equipment Operator Adjunct – Patrick & Henry Community College, Martinsville, Virginia

Position Code: 285A9999 | Pay: $40 per hour | Employment type: Part Time | FLSA Exempt | Work Schedule: In-person, hybrid, or online instruction as needed.

Patrick & Henry Community College is a comprehensive two‑year institution committed to student success and lifelong learning. It serves the communities of Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, and southern Franklin County, and offers associate, certificate, and career studies programs across a variety of fields.

Responsibilities

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Special assignments may include assisting the agency or state government during emergency declarations or performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
• Familiarity with computer technology for instruction.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional Considerations: Operation of a state vehicle; does not supervise employees; no required travel.
