🩺 About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients experiencing mental health disorders. This role involves both medication management and therapeutic interventions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and collaboration across clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects

  • Provide psychotherapy or refer to appropriate therapeutic services as needed

  • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other specialists

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Stay current with best practices, emerging treatments, and continuing education requirements

  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

  • Board certification in Psychiatry (or board eligibility)

  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Texas.

  • DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances

  • Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience with diverse populations and evidence-based psychiatric care

  • Proficiency in EHR systems and telepsychiatry platforms (if applicable)

Preferred Skills

  • Subspecialty training (e.g., Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction Psychiatry)

  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities

  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or integrated care settings

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and culturally competent practices
