Reports To: Medical Director / Clinical Operations Lead
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients experiencing mental health disorders. This role involves both medication management and therapeutic interventions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and collaboration across clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects
Provide psychotherapy or refer to appropriate therapeutic services as needed
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other specialists
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Stay current with best practices, emerging treatments, and continuing education requirements
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board certification in Psychiatry (or board eligibility)
Valid and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances
Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with diverse populations and evidence-based psychiatric care
Proficiency in EHR systems and telepsychiatry platforms (if applicable)
Preferred Skills
Subspecialty training (e.g., Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction Psychiatry)
Bilingual or multilingual capabilities
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or integrated care settings
Familiarity with trauma-informed care and culturally competent practices
