Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The purpose of the inspection is: to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10 % require interior photos after a property has gone vacant. Responsibilities
Most common inspection takes 5‑6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Spend extended periods driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. Requirements (to be considered you must have the following)
Computer with an internet connection Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus; you pay your own gas) Smartphone (Android or iPhone) Printer Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary by county and volume. Although paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of
$30‑$40 per hour . Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural you may complete anywhere from 20‑500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties offer higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. There is no set number of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
