What You’ll Do

Lead strategic growth and drive market share and revenue growth globally.

Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to key clients.

Lead major pursuits, develop winning strategies, and guide proposal efforts.

Shape market strategy and collaborate with market and operations leadership to define regional strategic plans.

Mentor and train business development teams and foster a culture of client focus.

Align resources—match talent and expertise to client needs and growth opportunities in collaboration with operational partners.

What You Bring

Achieve global booking goals for the Waste Sector.

Manage regional Waste business development leaders.

Maintain understanding of Waste market trends and drivers.

Work with Waste Sector Director to create a vision for the Waste program.

Oversee annual and long‑term strategic plans and prioritize growth initiatives.

Develop cross‑market strategic initiatives within the RBG.

Lead major pursuit teams and capture planning.

Identify candidates for management and business development positions.

Coordinate training on business development best practices.

Develop major client plans and long‑term strategies to capture market share.

Serve as client manager for significant Waste sector clients.

Develop business relationships with teaming partners.

Participate in professional associations to elevate HDR’s brand.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Professional or engineering registration or related technical experience.

Experience winning high‑value contracts in the Waste industry.

Required Qualifications

15+ years relevant industry experience.

Self‑starter with proven ability to complete projects independently.

Deep knowledge of A/E/C industry procurement of professional services.

Ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Network building with clients and industry partners.

Sales and win‑strategy development experience.

Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Willingness to travel and engage in person.

Experience growing programs in competitive markets.

Experience writing compelling content from technical staff information.

Salary range: $167,580–$277,200 (location and experience dependent).
