The Vice President, Branch Services will lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of our branch network, with a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences, driving deposit and loan growth, and ensuring operational excellence. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and partnering with the Chief Operations Officer, this role oversees departmental strategy, performance, and culture. It champions innovation and collaboration, and ensures alignment with organizational goals, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, member-focused leader with deep expertise in retail banking operations, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for service excellence.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
Branch Operations Expertise: Demonstrated experience overseeing multi-branch operations, including member engagement, sales growth, operational compliance, and staff development. Proven ability to lead complex retail operations, manage performance, and ensure adherence to regulatory and policy standards. Familiarity with branch technologies, risk management frameworks, and service delivery models.
Strategic Leadership & Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience developing and executing branch strategies aligned with organizational goals and risk appetite. Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial and operational data, assess performance, and guide informed decision-making. Skilled in using key performance metrics to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
Talent Development: Proven ability to lead performance management, coach and mentor leaders and team members, and foster a high-performance, member-centric culture focused on continuous development, engagement, and succession planning.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills. Proven ability to build trust and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to represent the credit union in industry associations and community partnerships.
Experience & Education: At least twelve years of retail banking and leadership experience in financial services, preferably within a credit union or community-based financial institution. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experience required.
