Amentum is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team of passionate individuals in Washington, DC. In this role you will support challenging, mission‑critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. As a Top Secret cleared solutions architect, you will work in an organization that develops and operates the best possible software for critical national‑security enterprise applications. The organization leverages Scrum and SAFe Agile software development methodology and strong DevOps practices.
You will be responsible for performing complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis and research. You will lead in the integration of processes and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system. You will work directly with senior technical personnel, program managers and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program’s system and technical product development. You will maintain a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and act independently on technical issues within your field of expertise. You will support the ATO and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities
Lead the efforts of design, development, testing, maintenance and deployment of new software applications.
Analyze and design new software solutions based on user and technical requirements.
Develop software in the AWS cloud.
Analyze existing architecture and new requirements and prepare technical recommendations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Lead and mentor the technical development team.
Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
Front‑end: JavaScript (ES6 and higher), React, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI.
Backend: NodeJS, Express, NestJS, npm, Go, Java 8, SOAP services, Maven, Gradle.
RESTful design and principles.
Code quality and standardization practices.
Development tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, SAST (e.g., SonarQube, Gitlab SAST), unit and integration testing (jest, mocha, chai).
Business Analysis and Project Management: SAFe Agile Principles.
Pay Transparency Verbiage Amentum’s health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and the things you care about: medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance; 401(k) plan and, if eligible, a deferred compensation plan and Executive Deferral Plan; 17 days of vacation per year, seven paid holidays, floating holidays and caregiver leave. $210k to $220k , with individual pay determined by location and other factors.
