Job Summary As a Sales Consultant with TriNet, you will help power business success with extraordinary HR by pursuing new prospects, sharing and quantifying our value proposition, and selling TriNet’s comprehensive solution. You will target companies with 5–99 employees within your designated territory, building a book of business, owning opportunities, and executing a sales process that includes building pipeline, conducting sales meetings, writing proposals, gaining approvals, and presenting proposals to prospective clients at the C‑level and other decision makers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop an annual plan to hit targets in defined territory, covering multiple states/regions and industries, centered on larger businesses with 5–99 employees.

Consistently work on building a balanced pipeline of target prospects through traditional prospecting (cold calling, email, phone, LinkedIn) and leveraging ecosystem partners and referrals.

Qualify or disqualify opportunities quickly with strong understanding of target market and decision‑making personas.

Establish a trusted advisor relationship inside TriNet and within the prospect’s decision‑making system to gain successful business and long‑term client relationships.

Utilize a sophisticated multi‑step selling process with defined criteria, executive sponsorship, and internal business processes, balancing multiple complex opportunities (typical 3–6‑month sales cycle).

Use sales systems including Salesforce.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and quoting tools to manage daily activities efficiently.

Achieve quota targets by meeting sales activity metrics.

Complete all administrative tasks and duties in a timely manner.

Demonstrate TriNet’s core values daily.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.

Experience Qualifications

Typically, 3–4 years of experience in a B2B complex sales cycle role.

Proven PEO experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Ability to build and maximize partner and referral networks.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities at different stages.

Excellent presentation skills.

Experience with technology and common software/web applications, including MS Office and Salesforce.com.

Detail oriented.

Travel Requirements

Ability and willingness to travel to prospective clients’ sites within your assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is $75,000.00–$95,700.00, with final offer based on skills, education, location, and experience. Candidates in the sales organization are also eligible for commissions consistent with TriNet’s commission plan.
