About the Role This role will be a valued member of a tight‑knit engineering team responsible for a variety of types of GNC (guidance, navigation & control) hardware. Supporting multiple programs within LM Space, this role will focus on NGI (Next Generation Interceptor) IMU (inertial measurement unit) hardware. From late development, through manufacturing, test, delivery, and integration into the next higher assembly, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of subject matter experts to learn on the job and ensure the complete success of the hardware. This role also includes a significant amount of collaboration with external entities, i.e. customers and suppliers, and will include periods of necessary business travel.
Successful applicants generally have at least 5+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Desired Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other related engineering degree
Experience with working on hardware non‑conformances and test failures
Experience with technically managing supplier to execute to program requirements and needs
Experience reviewing analyses, manufacturing, test, and hardware delivery documentation
Experience developing charts and presenting to program leadership and customer
Familiarity with IMU hardware and performance
Familiarity with missile navigation
