What to Expect
The ideal candidate has experience in performing general, preventative and emergency maintenance of facilities equipment as well as strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance.
What You'll Do
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment supporting all critical facility infrastructure. Works in conjunction with Facilities Operations and Engineers, communicating with both teams on daily tasks
Electrical Technician performs general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, LOTO execution/administration, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed
Works daily PMs on equipment such as VFD's/switchgear/motors with voltages ranging from 120-480V and 4160-25kV as part of their job scope. Troubleshooting motors/VFD's and complex electrical circuits are also part of the routine tasks that the Electrical Technician will perform. Works from height utilizing lifts and ladders as necessary
Strong understanding of NFPA 70E and LOTOV practices are essential
Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
Provides excellent customer service and communication
Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback
What You'll Bring
Must have a minimum of 5+ years related work experience asan Industrial or CommercialElectrician.Facility Maintenance experience strongly preferred but not required
Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment required
Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and using NEC Code Book
Experience dealing with 24VDC - 120/277-480/4160/25kV AC recommended. Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, drives, and electronic components required
Ability to interpret electrical prints, schematics, install electrical equipment and circuit modification
Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
Strong understanding of LOTO/NFPA 70E requirements
Essential Physical Demands
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
