What to Expect The ideal candidate has experience in performing general, preventative and emergency maintenance of facilities equipment as well as strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance.

What You’ll Do

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install electrical equipment supporting all critical facility infrastructure. Work in conjunction with Facilities Operations and Engineers, communicating with both teams on daily tasks.

Perform general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, LOTO execution/administration, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed.

Work daily preventive maintenance on equipment such as VFDs, switchgear and motors with voltages ranging from 120‑480 V and 4160‑25 kV. Troubleshoot motors/VFDs and complex electrical circuits as part of routine tasks. Work from height utilizing lifts and ladders as necessary.

Apply strong understanding of NFPA 70E and LOTO practices.

Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company.

Provide excellent customer service and communication.

Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience as an Industrial or Commercial Electrician. Facility Maintenance experience strongly preferred but not required.

Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment.

Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits, and using NEC Code Book.

Experience dealing with 24 VDC – 120/277‑480/4160/25 kV AC recommended. Strong knowledge in troubleshooting motor controls, drives, and electronic components.

Ability to interpret electrical prints, schematics, install electrical equipment and perform circuit modification.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of management, high initiative, and ability to work alone and effectively with others.

Strong understanding of LOTO/NFPA 70E requirements.

Essential Physical Demands

Perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day.

Stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain.

Lift, push and carry up to 35 lb., including the ability to carry 20 lb. up and down stairs.

Bend, lift and reach to install parts.

Perform stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day.

Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures.

Identify issues in a work process and respond to safety signals using sight, touch and hearing.

Wear personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhere to prescribed safety rules and guidelines.
