Aerospace - Raw Materials Planner

Are you a Buyer Planner looking to advance your career by leveraging supply chain experience and contributing to daily business operations? If so, PPG invites you to join our team as an Aerospace – Raw Materials Planner at our Mojave facility.

As the Raw Materials Planner you will ensure the effective planning and procurement of raw materials to support manufacturing operations. You will use ERP systems and MRP tools to maintain a steady supply chain flow, collaborate with multiple departments and suppliers, optimize inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will work on‑site and report directly to the Raw Material Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and monitor raw material inventory using ERP and MRP tools to ensure continuous supply for manufacturing.

Analyze forecasts and usage data to maintain accurate planning parameters and update them to the site standards.

Promptly release purchase orders to approved suppliers, ensuring confirmations and documentation.

Use raw material cards for supplier information and monitor supplier performance, addressing issues as needed.

Collaborate with Sourcing, S&T, receiving, finance, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies, support material disposition, and complete corrective actions.

Participate in Material Review Team meetings and manage aged materials with Inventory Control.

Build strong cross‑functional relationships, contribute to process improvements, uphold 5S standards, and ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (required). Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred.

Experience with ERP systems and material requirements planning tools.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret forecasting and usage data.

Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement processes, and inventory control.

Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Base salary: $68,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually. Salary is based on experience, qualifications, and departmental pay equity.
