The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations of the resort, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and forward‑looking financial planning. This role champions internal controls, leads the Finance team, and provides strategic insight that shapes business performance and safeguards the value of the asset. Responsibilities
Serve as strategic advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee. Lead and develop a high‑performing Finance team aligned with Aman values. Oversee financial reporting in full compliance with Aman standards and GAAP/IFRS. Maintain a robust internal control environment, including PCI and regulatory compliance. Manage accounting, income audit, payroll, and financial statement preparation. Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions. Direct vendor payments, working capital, and expenditure controls. Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes. Provide financial insights, business cases, and ROI analyses for projects and capital planning. Liaise with ownership on performance reporting and asset management matters. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership within luxury hospitality. Professional accounting designation required (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy reporting accuracy, and internal controls. Strong leadership skills with experience developing Finance teams. Exceptional analytical and communication abilities with high discretion and integrity. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SunSystems, SAP, SAGE, Opera, Micros/Simphony, and Adaco preferred. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with ownership groups and executive leadership. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
