Job Summary The Product Operations Lead is part of the store leadership team and is responsible for executing the store product strategy, including product operations and inventory management. They lead inventory shifts, oversee back‑of‑house (BOH) product operations, and ensure the floor and BOH are stocked and well‑organized. They provide input on performance evaluations, hiring decisions, act as Supervisor on Duty (SOD), and deliver a world‑class guest experience when on the floor.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with store leadership to bring product strategy to life.
Proactively plan, prioritize, manage, and lead inventory processing and accuracy activities in accordance with SOPs.
Ensure execution of product actions (e.g., pull backs, consolidations, repricing).
Engage team members in inventory management by creating a fun and productive atmosphere.
Monitor product levels and communicate findings to support sell‑through strategy and optimal product availability.
Review and interpret daily business data and metrics to inform actions, such as analyzing product sell‑through data to provide recommendations to store leadership.
Participate in the store’s hiring process—including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training.
Address team member performance and support their ongoing learning and development through direct feedback, coaching, and recognition.
Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by establishing supportive working relationships.
When serving as Supervisor on Duty during store open hours, lead from the floor to ensure every guest receives technical product education and a world‑class experience.
Eligibility & Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
Must have the ability to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation.
1 year of work experience; some experience with inventory management, product or visual merchandising, stocking, or planning and logistics.
Experience in leading, mentoring, delegating, or process implementation with others.
Preferred: High school diploma/GED or above; retail, sales, distribution center, or warehouse operations experience; food safety or liquor service certification for experiential stores.
Schedule / Availability
Work schedule varies based on store needs.
Shifts can include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, early mornings, late nights, or overnights during peak times.
Work Context
Move through the store, often in front of the house with bright lights and loud music, or in the back of the house with no windows or natural light.
Work with a team frequently, sometimes independently, using a computer or other technical devices.
Occasional movement of boxes up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) or use of ladders to reach materials.
For experiential stores with food or beverage service only: may involve industrial kitchen equipment and exposure to heat.
