The Legal Counsel will oversee all legal activities in the U.S. market, serving as the key legal advisor to senior management while aligning regional operations with group-wide legal and business strategies.

Legal Counsel Role As the Legal Counsel, you’ll be responsible for all legal operations across the U.S., ensuring compliance and managing legal risk across all business functions including sales, funding, marketing, HR, finance, operations, and product development.

Serve as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership, providing counsel on corporate governance, M&A, business risk, and strategic transactions.

Partner with the Group General Counsel and global legal team to ensure alignment with group-wide strategies and U.S. legal compliance.

Lead contract negotiation and drafting for high-value B2B, public sector, and supplier agreements.

Manage corporate governance, privacy, information security, AML / KYC, and compliance-related legal matters.

Oversee external legal counsel relationships, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality legal services.

Support M&A due diligence, funding activities, and strategic partnerships from a U.S. perspective.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, HR, finance, IT, and operations to align legal processes with commercial goals.

Provide leadership on legal projects and potentially act as board secretary when appointed.

Legal Counsel Background Profile

Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited U.S. institution

7â10+ years of legal experience, ideally within a multinational or global organization

Expertise in corporate, commercial, and contract law, with strong exposure to M&A, governance, and compliance

Proven experience advising senior executives and supporting sales-driven, international business environments

Skilled negotiator with experience handling complex B2B, ICT, and financial contracts

Experience working with funding institutions, OEMs, and strategic partners preferred

Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones and cultures
