Position Overview
Full‑time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the clinical/educator pathway in the Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at the Miller School of Medicine, working in the Miami Transplant Institute. Cardiologist with clinical expertise in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation with a proven record of research and teaching to join a thriving program. The candidate must be well trained in all aspects of general, clinical cardiology, have completed an Advanced Fellowship in Heart Failure, and be BC/BE in Cardiovascular Diseases and BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure. The cardiac transplant program at the Miami Transplant Institute and the University of Miami has a long track record of success and is the leading institution in Miami.
Responsibilities This position will entail inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of patients referred for transplant evaluation, post‑transplant care, VAD management, and long‑term follow‑up of non‑transplant patients with advanced heart failure. Additionally, the physician will perform procedures including endomyocardial biopsy and cardiac catheterization.
Qualifications This position requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and the candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
