We are recruiting a
Junior Supply Chain Specialist
to join our team in Sherwood Park, AB. The Junior Supply Chain Specialist will play a key role in optimizing Supply Chain operations using business intelligence to drive efficiency and help achieve sustainable business practices. This role will use a combination of your business intelligence acumen and Supply Chain skills, particularly in contracting and will provide you with a well-rounded knowledge of many areas within Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities
Support supply chain automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve data accuracy. Knowledge of Sharepoint, Smartsheet and web-based applications is an asset.
Process Purchase Orders and Change Orders ensuring that the appropriate legal Terms & Conditions are applied.
Review and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Build and manage Supply Chain metrics and reports
Identify trends and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Pursue improvement in all aspects of the supply chain by reviewing current methodology and processes
Spearhead small SCM projects and initiatives
Participate in leadership and other training
Requirements
Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain in the construction or oil & gas industry
Experience in data analysis, inventory management, procurement or logistics
Proficient in MS Office (i.e. excel)
Familiarity with Supply Chain Management (SCM) industry practices,
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to corporate purchasing practices and importation of goods and services is an asset
