About the Role As a Department Manager, you’ll lead and encourage your team, create an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit, and ensure an excellent operational and visual experience for the store, customers, and colleagues. You’ll analyze sales, optimize results, and create plans to maximize profits.
Responsibilities
Customer Sales & Profit
– Manage the OMNI customer experience, represent H&M positively, identify commercial opportunities, establish sales and budget goals, promote the Hello Member app, manage cost efficiency, ensure fitting room and checkout routines, and handle admin routines.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
– Stay current with fashion trends, brands, and competitors, and provide product knowledge during customer interactions.
Team & Development
– Recruit, onboard, manage performance, train, retain, collaborate with visual merchandisers, schedule, communicate, and ensure legal requirements are met.
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
– Maintain a clean sales floor and back‑of‑house, present high‑fashion quality, manage stock levels, oversee fitting room routines, implement OMNI services, set price signs, and handle opening/closing.
Qualifications
Strong leader who enjoys responsibility for others.
Ambitious, effective communicator, supportive, analytical, and data‑driven.
Customer‑centric, achievement‑oriented, motivated by performance and competition.
