Policy Coordinator supports Policy Officer (PO) in advancing NMBLC's advocacy and policy goals. This role focuses on organizing logistics, tracking policy activities, supporting stakeholder communication and engagement, and assisting in project coordination across key issue areas. PO ensures smooth operation of policy department, contributes to implementation of The Chisholm Table.

Additional Areas of Responsibility Roles and Responsibilities Include

Manage PO scheduling, calendars, and meeting logistics.

Maintain organized files and materials for key documents.

Prepare polished presentations, memos, reports.

Monitor legislative calendars and flag key hearings, bills, and news.

Update, maintain shared legislative tracker with PO.

Capture, summarize notes from meetings, briefings.

Other Information/Requirements Qualifications

Bachelor’s / equivalent experience in public policy, communications, political science, or a related field.

2+ years of administrative, project coordination, nonprofit experience.

Strong organizational, time-management skills.

Clear, concise verbal, written communication.

Commitment to racial equity, community leadership, social justice.

Requires travel to Santa Fe.

Requires some evening, weekend hours.
