Position is Monday through Friday from 9am - 6pm
Purpose of the Job Registered Nurses (RNs) in clinical positions deliver and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients across all units within the Critical Access Hospital. Clinical settings include Inpatient, Emergency Department, Obstetrics, Outpatient Services, and optional Medivac Transport. The RN provides efficient and safe care to a diverse population, ranging from neonates to geriatric individuals. The RN improves patient outcomes by working as a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, continuously striving to elevate the quality and accessibility of care.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted RN License required. Alaska RN licensure must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are required. NRP/ALSO/TNCC/ENPC are preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience and exposure to multiple units preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive assessments and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple departments and provide care to a diverse patient population, including acute, chronic, neonate, pediatric, and geriatric needs.
Demonstrated proficiency with EHR platforms, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
Proven familiarity with the unique challenges and resources available in rural healthcare settings, including limited access to specialty services and the need for broad clinical versatility.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, coordinate and complete quality monitoring forms and report submission.
Proven knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and the ability to assess patient data, interpret age‑specific information, and identify the unique needs of each patient and family to deliver appropriate individualized care.
